She passed away peace- fully sur- rounded by family on Au- gust 6, 2008. She was the greatest mother and best friend to her chil- dren who were always her most important priority. She is preceded in death by her daughter Eileen Cassar. She is survived by her children; Anita Ashton of Camas, WA, Thomas Cassar of Win- nemucca, NV, Kenneth Cas- sar of Norwich, CT, Mary Latta of Bellingham, WA, Catherine Elder of Duluth, MN, Nancy Haub of The Woodlands, TX and Janet Cassar of Bellingham, WA. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten by her fami- ly and countless friends. A celebration of her life will be held at the Squalicum Boat House in Bellingham on August 15th at 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Whatcom Hospice, to whom we will be forever grateful.
